Addressing a meeting of Asia Pacific Business Forum (APBF) taking palce in Dhaka of Bangladesh from Wednesday, he said, "The countries of the region could achieve the sustainable development goals faster if they develop mutual understanding on development".
Minister Thakali said the Asia Pacific region is diverse on geographical, economic and social sectors and is rich in resources and means but the region has not attained development targets, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Commerce.
Noting that the livelihood of the people of the region could be further improved with the optimum use of trade, tourism, hydropower, agriculture, mines and sea sources, he called for the international community to flow investment to Nepal without any hesitation as the promulgation of a new constitution has enabled environment for investment in the country.
Bangladeshi President Mohhamud Abdul Hamid inaugurated the meeting of the forum jointly organized by UNSCAP, Commerce Ministry of Bangladesh and International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh.
The meeting would conclude on February 9. The meeting is attended by entrepreneurs and business people representing Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Indonesia, among others along with high-ranking officials of various international organizations. RSS
